SUBJECT: GOOD OLD KAWASAKI KDX200
Hello,
I currently own a 2001 KDX 200. I've kept the bike bone stock over the years and always wanted more power, but I was young and financialy unable to throw money at the cause. Now that I can afford to do so. What would you suggest to squeeze some hidden power out of an already awesome bike? (other than installing the FMF"Gnarly",which I intend to do, soon!)

This is one of the finest all-around bikes ever built. By all means, go for an FMF pipe and a set of Boyesen reeds. Then go for two teeth more on the countershaft sprocket. Don't worry, the bike will easily pull the gearing. At this point, the bike will be a joy to ride.
Here’s a photo of the KDX200 I personally owned for over a decade.

“We were very reasonable today,” explained Eric Vigouroux after his arrival at the end of today´s special stage, of 60km long. “It wasn´t worth it to attack on tracks full of traps.
There were particularly narrow passages between the Indian Figs, impressively large cactus, and many mud ponds. As we don´t have a windshield, we stopped before each mud pool and we went through it slowly. And in a trap in the middle of the cacti, we saw Delaye´s buggy just in front of us, on its head, fortunately without problems.”
Another minor problem, the tripmaster (the instrument which gives the exact distance between each indications on the road book) of the Trophy Truck were slightly put out of order.
“We have “knitted” a little; I slowed down 300mts before I was supposed to, before the turns. Also, it is not surprising that we lost a little more than three minutes from the first. We know that we conceded, and our reference mark is Jean-Louis Schlesser. With his buggy, he was only 40 seconds faster than us.
We are always in contact with the leaders and that is what really matters.” The Trophy Truck is indeed on the eight position of the general classification, with only 3' 49'' of delay from the winner, the Argentinian Orly Terranova on his BMW X3DC.
Friday 24th, the special stage Oued Mellah / Ras El Oued, includes 356km with many fast tracks and hard trails: the ground should be appropriate for the Pro-System´s Trophy Truck.
