    They're projecting race leader Andy McMillin will cross the finish line in about 30 minutes or so, and barring some miraculous disaster, McMillin has a large enough lead that he can coast to victory. It appears as though he has close to a 15-mile lead (give or take a few miles) over Roger Norman and Rick D. Johnson. In another hour, we'll know how it all shakes out.

    We're still not sure who's in the lead for the ATV overall. Unforunately, we're running into the same issue that we did with the motorcycles, as the ATVs also are not required to run trackers. So, we're not exactly sure how the race is going. None of the ATVs have crossed the finish line yet.

    Andy McMillin just passed race mile 615, so the end is in site for the young racer. Over 10 miles behind him is a battle for second place, as Rick D. Johnson appears to have a small physical lead over the truck of Roger Norman/Larry Roeseler. Robby Gordon is a few miles back in fourth place. At this point, McMillin looks to be running away with it. If Gordon holds on to finish, he'll earn the overall SCORE Desert Series Championship.

    After speaking to SCORE officials, Robby Gordon basically needs to finish this race to earn the overall SCORE Series Championship. Gordon is currently running in second place overall behind leader Andy McMillin. Here's a breakdown of the overall Trophy Truck points heading into the Baja 1000:

    1. Robby Gordon - 292

    2. Brian Collins - 244 (he did not race today)

    3. Ed Stout - 242

    4. Roger Norman - 228

    5. Cameron Steele - 213

• Trophy Trucks Through BFG Pit

    When the frontrunners went through BFGoodrich's fifth pit, Andy McMillin (10 hours 45 minutes) had nearly a 20-minute lead over second-place Robby Gordon (11 hours, 5 minutes). Gordon then had close to a 10-minute lead over third-place Roger Norman and Larry Roeseler (11 hours, 20 minutes). McMillin is now nearing race mile 585 and he still holds a commanding lead. It's going to take a giant mistake or a crucial broken part for him to relinquish this lead.

    Kendall Norman rode the 12x JCR Honda to victory at the 2009 Tecate SCORE Baja 1000, but team owner Johnny Campbell (right of Norman) wasn't able to race this year after he had a rough crash a few weeks ago that really banged him up (as evident by his wrapped hand).

    It appears Andy McMillin still has a comfortable lead over second place, but the order of racers behind him have shuffled a bit. Robby Gordon has moved into second place ahead of Rick D.
