Here are the unofficial times from SCORE for the top five Trophy Truck finishers:
1. Andy McMillin - 14:19:50
2. Roger Norman - 14:51:27 (31:37 behind leader)
3. Rick D. Johnson - 15:02:36 (42:46 behind leader)
4.Gustavo Vildosola, Jr. - 15:12:05 (52:15 behind leader)
5. Robby Gordon - 15:14:31 (54:41 behind leader)
Wayne Matlock was the first ATV across the line at the Baja 1000 with a time of 16 hours, 54 minutes, 52 seconds
They're projecting race leader Andy McMillin will cross the finish line in about 30 minutes or so, and barring some miraculous disaster, McMillin has a large enough lead that he can coast to victory. It appears as though he has close to a 15-mile lead (give or take a few miles) over Roger Norman and Rick D. Johnson. In another hour, we'll know how it all shakes out.
Andy McMillin looks to be about 40 miles away from the finish line in Ensenada. It also appears he has built the lead up to 15 miles over Rick D. Johnson and Roger Norman, who are battling back and forth for second place. Gustavo Vildosola Jr. is in fifth place behind Robby Gordon.
We're still not sure who's in the lead for the ATV overall. Unforunately, we're running into the same issue that we did with the motorcycles, as the ATVs also are not required to run trackers. So, we're not exactly sure how the race is going. None of the ATVs have crossed the finish line yet.
Andy McMillin just passed race mile 615, so the end is in site for the young racer. Over 10 miles behind him is a battle for second place, as Rick D. Johnson appears to have a small physical lead over the truck of Roger Norman/Larry Roeseler. Robby Gordon is a few miles back in fourth place. At this point, McMillin looks to be running away with it. If Gordon holds on to finish, he'll earn the overall SCORE Desert Series Championship.
After speaking to SCORE officials, Robby Gordon basically needs to finish this race to earn the overall SCORE Series Championship. Gordon is currently running in second place overall behind leader Andy McMillin. Here's a breakdown of the overall Trophy Truck points heading into the Baja 1000:
1. Robby Gordon - 292
2. Brian Collins - 244 (he did not race today)
3. Ed Stout - 242
4. Roger Norman - 228
5. Cameron Steele - 213
When the frontrunners went through BFGoodrich's fifth pit, Andy McMillin (10 hours 45 minutes) had nearly a 20-minute lead over second-place Robby Gordon (11 hours, 5 minutes). Gordon then had close to a 10-minute lead over third-place Roger Norman and Larry Roeseler (11 hours, 20 minutes). McMillin is now nearing race mile 585 and he still holds a commanding lead. It's going to take a giant mistake or a crucial broken part for him to relinquish this lead.
The site hasn't quite refreshed with our motorcycle story from the finish line, so check out this link to see our coverage now: http://www.off-road.com/dirtsports/article/articleDetail.jsp?id=643392&sk=557a86354402a4c788327613ea6d0b7c.
It appears Andy McMillin still has a comfortable lead over second place, but the order of racers behind him have shuffled a bit. Robby Gordon has moved into second place ahead of Rick D. Johnson in third. The team of Roger Norman and Larry Roeseler are now running in fourth place. We should have some times through Pit 5 before long, so stay tuned and we'll update the race status.
Here are the top four teams (noted by driver of record):
1. Kendall Norman (12x, Honda CRF450X) 13:27:50
2. Robby Bell (1x, Kawasaki KX450F) 13:29:47
3. Colton Udall (18x, Honda CRF450X) 14:10:10
4. Ivan Ramirez (11x, Honda CRF450X) 14:27:38
Note: This is the unofficial corrected time pending tracking data review.
The Johnny Campbell Racing team of Kendall Norman, Timmy Weigand and Quinn Cody took the overall motorcycle win at the 2009 SCORE Baja 1000. It was the 1x bike of Robby Bell, Steve Hengeveld (who rode across the finish line), Ryan Penhall and Connor Penhall that actually crossed the finish line in first, but Norman and the JCR team were ahead on corrected time by 1 minute and 57 seconds, according to SCORE officials. This is unofficialy until the tracking data is reviewed, but it looks like Honda earned

10. #16,
Andy McMillin is starting to gap the field a bit. He's between race mile 420 and 425, and he's about five miles ahead of second-place Nick Vanderwey. Rick D. Johnson has lost his hold on second, but he's still in third a few miles behind Vanderwey. Just off the top three is Robby Gordon in fourth place. The bikes are getting close. They are about 40 miles out or so. We don't have any tracking data on them, unfortunately (ditto for the ATVs, since they don't have to use trackers).

Andy McMillin still holds the physical lead among trucks and buggies in the 2009 Tecate SCORE Baja 1000. Rick D. Johnson is in second about three to four miles back, and not far from Johnson is Nick Vanderwey in third. Robby Gordon is a little ways back in fourth place, but he looks to be about eight to 10 miles off the leader at this point.
For the first time today, Trophy Truck driver Andy McMillin has taken over the physical lead in the 42nd running of the Tecate SCORE Baja 1000. McMillin passed previous leader Rick D. Johnson near Race Mile 330. Johnson was showing 0 mph at the time, but he has since botten back up to speed, suggesting that he was making a scheduled pit stop. Nick Vanderwey continues to run third, followed by Robby Gordon and Class 1 buggy leader Armin Schwarz.
Rick Johnson continues to fly out front in the 2009 Tecate SCORE Baja 1000, having just cleared BFG Pit #3 just south of San Felipe. As the 672-mile race nears its halfway point, Andy McMillin has made his way past Nick Vanderwey to take over second place on the road, while Robby Gordon continues to run fourth, ahead of the first-place-running Class 1 unlimited buggy of Armin Schwarz. Gustavo Vildosola Jr. continues to run fifth in the Trophy Truck class and sixth overall on the road.
