Chad Ragland was born with racing in his blood. Son of off-road icon, “Lightning” Larry Ragland, Chad was at the races before he could even walk. He first competed in the SCORE off-road series in an unlimited class one buggy with Volkswagen factory driver, Mark Miller. In 2004, Chad joined veteran racer Brian Collins and Collins Motorsports. In his first Baja 1000 attempt, Chad made a lasting impression on the off-road racing community by leading the majority of the Tecate SCORE Baja 1000 overall in the premier Trophy Truck class. In 2007, Chad joined the highly visible T Force Motorsports. Chad was integral in the team’s startup phase and now serves as the lead driver of the #33 Trophy Truck. To date, the team captured a podium finish at the 2008 SCORE San Felipe 250, and has finished every mile they have started. Chad has been featured in several action sports films, most notably, Bajaflo2, Desert People 6, and Drive. He has also appeared in three NBC Baja 500 and 1000 program features and various off-road racing shows. A fanatical cyclist and motorcycle rider, when Ragland isn’t racing behind the wheel, he can be found on the roads and trails around his home in Carlsbad, California.
