I think .... So I am !!!

ME.jpgMy name is Shehzad aka The PinkPanther, I live the twin cities Rawalpindi/Islamabad of Pakistan. I am a member of The Islamabad Jeep Club, the only 4x4 club in pakistan which is into extreme off-road. We have monthly gettogethers around islamabad and rawalpindi where there are natural tracks. We have hill drags, rock crawling (not extreme), naturally made obstacle course etc etc etc.....

I am married to a lovely woman and am a father to a beautiful daugther and a son. By profession am a I.T security specialist but love the outdoors (outback), camping, movies, music and on top of all, OFFROAD!!!!!!

My dauther who is almost 7 years old loves to go offroad with me, I can see her to be a very hard core off-roader in the comming future.. am just waiting for my son (8months till this day of writing) to grow up enogh to enjoy this wonderful but dangerous sport.

Don’t be fooled by looks. Looks are for town and aren’t any help in the bush!!
This is my modern day "gasser", or just being different! It features a modified Toyota B-2, 4-cylinder, naturally aspirated, indirect injection diesel engine, stock AMC Model 20 rear, Dana 30 front axles, Dana 300 Transfercase. I took it up a mountain that had no road. Believe me, this jeep can make its own road. Even at an incline at a 45-degree angle and a heavy payload, the Cj handles like a dream, but you need time to get used to it. It is inherently unstable while driving extreme offroad conditions, but very predictable in its instability... therefore not beyond a certain realm of control (you need some skill to drive one). If you want a cushy car, go buy one of those pretentious ‘American’ SUV's. If you want to go off-road (and I mean the kind of off-road that would snap an SUV like a twig, then look no further.

Modifications:
Mods include a three-core high-efficiency radiator, a LoMax 4:1 transfer-case conversion. Custom driveshafts, a Borgeson steering shaft, an AGR heavy-duty steering box, beefed-up the front and rear leaf spring suspension with long arm shocks. Front disk brakes, custom half door which I designed myself and metal sheet bent by the sheet bender, welded my self.

Interior:
All stock except for the two front seats as they are from a corolla saloon 1988, A clarion sound system with 4 pioneer speakers under the rear seat, 2 front speakers in half doors, am FM based MP3,WMA player, a rock solid roll bar.

To be done: when I get the time :)
Custom under carriage skidplate.
Custom diff guards.
Custom rock sliders.
A full roll cage as I only have a beafed up rool bar with seat belts.
A WARN 8274 winch.
and anything that takes my breath away ...

“Where the streets have no name….” A sunny winter day. A small picturesque alley hugged by steep hills. Food stalls in one corner with the smoke from a bar b q rising into the air. An energetic crowd hailing from all age groups and all walks of life and some fifty 4×4 vehicles of all perceivable ...
