Graffunder leads Pro Jr. Fight.

Cory GraffunderOctober 5, 2009 - Woodcliff Lake, NJ -- It was time to lace up the gloves and step into the ring as 57 of the best EnduroCross competitors in the world showed up for a prizefight in Columbus, Ohio, last Saturday night. When all was said and done, a pair of Husqvarna rookies had punched their Zip-Ty Racing-prepped TC250s to top 10 finishes.

During the past two rounds of the 2009 AMA EnduroCross season, hard-charging Canadian  continues to be a contender, while his Zip-Ty Racing Husqvarna teammate Gary Sutherlin, has posted solid performances as both riders become faster and more comfortable with each EnduroCross lap. While the tough Columbus track proved troublesome for many of the season's regular front finishers, Graffunder and Sutherlin found the situation to their liking and dug deep to finish strong, 6th and 8th places respectively.

With his 6th place finish in Columbus, Cory Graffunder is now in 4th place overall (just 3 points out of 3rd). More importantly, the hard-hitting Canadian now owns the lead for the E3 Spark Plugs EnduroCross Pro Jr. Championship.

Meanwhile, Gary Sutherlin's 8th place finish in Columbus places him in 10th overall for the season, just 4 points out of 9th place. Look for both of these riders to come into Round #5 in Denver, Colorado, on October 24th ready to battle.
